Granada Hills Public Library celebrated its 50th birthday on Oct. 24th. The Friends of the Library put on a wonderful party, in attendance were Eduardo Tinoco, member of the Board of Library Commissioners; Erik Richardson, Field Deputy & representative for Councilmember Mitch Englander’s Council District 12; John Szabo, City Librarian; Maria Villarreal, Public Relations Specialist; and of course members of the Granada Hills Branch Library staff and the Friends of the Library members.

Erick Richardson and Eduardo Tinoco each presented an award to the Granada Hills Library for 50 years of community service.

AND we were very pleased to learn that in attendance were a group of about 100 stakeholders. We shared light refreshments, birthday cake and memories. We mingled and also had the pleasure of meeting new neighbors. We were also enchanted by Calabria Foti McChesney, solo violinist, who donated her time to help us celebrate. And a special thank you to Ernest Sanchez, who took professional pictures and if you have access to Facebook please view at:
